Hugh Meany and his crew are true professionals. I had Hugh out more than 4 months go to give me a bid on I stalling flooring in a screened porch that hadn’t even started being converted to an all seasons room. Fast forward to now, December 28th. The room was just completed by the builder last week. Hugh managed to fit me in and the flooring was Installed in 1 1/2 days. And it is beautiful! I couldn’t be happier. You can’t go wrong with Hugh and Mastercraft! Another very satisfied customer.

I just want to give a shoutout and a 10-star rating to Master Craft Fine Wood Flooring. They fixed my bamboo wood flooring that was laid down incorrectly and turned out to be a disaster. They came in pulled up all the wood and laid it the way it should have been the first time and it looks great. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professional, caring reasonably priced company for their flooring needs.

I couldn’t be more pleased. After suffering water damage, I hired Mastercraft to remove and replace the engineered hardwood throughout my home. Despite the challenge of getting up the old floor (which was thoroughly glued down to the concrete slab), they completed the project expertly and within the expected time-frame. Hugh and his helper Sam installed my den and dining room floors. Their work was just fabulous, they installed my den and dining room floors and am now having him come back to install flooring in my living room. When we bought our house we knew we needed the wood floors resanded and finished. After checking a number of sources, we accepted an offer from Hugh. The floors are now spectacular! A few months ago, when we had our kitchen redone with new cabinets and appliances we hired a general contractor who has built houses and done many projects in the village. When he entered our house, he immediately raved about the floors and asked if 1) we had the floors resurfaced, and 2) if so, who did the work. He was really impressed. My wife and I had just bought our first home, a ’57 rancher with all hardwood except for the kitchen. Our floors were in terrible shape, with some very dark discolored spots in the master BR and living room from pet urine over the years. The other complication with our project was we wanted new hardwood in the kitchen to match the old in the rest of the house.

Hugh was able to sand the existing wood down so that there was no trace of discoloration, which we weren’t sure was going to be possible. Next, he found the exact match for the American red oak strips from the 1950’s and one of his guys masterfully wove those into the existing oak. They finished with a couple coats of a Swedish polyurethane, and it looks incredible. The floors brought the house to life, and to this day you can’t tell that our floors have both old and new oak in them.

Hugh has the right personality for a tradesman and contractor. He is EXTREMELY particular with serious attention to detail, and obsesses over the quality of his work. They are true professionals. -Will Johnson
